Inspiring Conversations with Fatima Miranda of RevitaLux IV Drip Bar & Medical Spa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fatima Miranda.

Hi Fatima, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My story began while working as a nurse in the critical care unit. I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart, so I knew I wanted to do more with my nursing degree. I wanted to figure out a way I could merge my nursing education with my love for business.

After working in the ICU with critically ill patients, I became more interested in preventative care and wellness. I first learned about IV hydration while on a trip to Los Angeles. I was fascinated and I knew it was something I wanted to bring to Greenville.

After attending a nurse’s week event in Miami, I met a nurse practitioner who was teaching the IV hydration business course and I got started from there! With hard work and dedication, I was able to make it to where I am now and be able to own my own practice doing what I love.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

It has definitely not been a smooth road. The beginning was tough. I had so many questions and it was like navigating an unknown sea. I even wanted to give up a few times, The hardest struggles along the way came from envious people that would always try to tear my business down. Being a social media influencer with over 114,000 YouTube subscribers sometimes comes with a price.

Within only 2 months of opening, I already had people reporting my business and trying to shut me down. It was very discouraging but I knew I had to keep going. Pushing through challenges is something I constantly have to do as a business owner, especially with a large audience watching! But the reward has been worth every obstacle I’ve had to face.

RevitaLux is a boutique-style medical spa specializing in IV vitamin infusions. What sets us apart from the others is that we offer a VIP-style suite for every appointment and every service. We are not an IV lounge-like other places. We see our clients one-on-one and we are locally owned and operated.

I am most proud of the growth that has occurred within 1 year of opening. I am proud of the clientele that we have cultivated and the amazing response we have received from our community in Greenville.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?

Growing up, I was a very studious person. I always did well in school and I remember being interested in the medical field since childhood. At the age of 10, I told my dad I wanted to own a hospital. I had a name picked out, a mission statement, and a design for the building. I guess the entrepreneurial spirit began young! I was a very curious child and I wanted to know how things worked.
